Britain's Health Department warned that middle-aged women who drink above the limit are more at the risk to diseases like breast cancer.They found that women who drank more than 14 units of alcohol a weak were 50 percent more likely to develop breast cancer and were more at risk to unplanned pregnancies, liver disease and ruptured bladders.
The Government plans to launch £10 million(about 20 million US dollars) campaign messaging people about how to judge when they are drinking to much as well as the dangers of drinking alcohol.
Dawn Primarolo, public health minister,said: "Women who regularly drink too much are 50 percent more likely to develop breast cancer. And many drink too much simply because they have no idea how many alcohol units they are consuming."
Charity Organization cancer research also says that alcohol causes about 2,000 breast cancer cases in Britain a year.
